What we do
Physiotherapy encompasses posture, balance and movement, knowledge of diseases, injury and the healing process. My goal is to improve and facilitate the restoration of normal function and movement ability, to relieve pain and to promote the highest level of independence and participation in activities of daily living. These activities include work, sport and recreation.
As a physiotherapist, I am not a fixer or healer, but rather a catalyst, facilitator/guide, listener, motivator, movement optimist, respectful challenger and collaborator.
Movement is the the fundamental cornerstone of my profession and your body.
Movement Matters.

Xanthé Tarnow
Xanthé Tarnow completed her BSc (Physiotherapy) honors degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014. In 2015 she completed her year of community service at the National District Hospital in Bloemfontein. After returning back home, she had the privilege of serving the Soweto community for two years at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital where she gained experience in treating various conditions in a setting that required creative solutions to health and patient care. She then entered the private sector where she has been treating hospital and room patients since.
Her love for physiotherapy, thirst for knowledge and interest in the latest evidence based practice led her to pursue further post-graduate studies in orthopaedic manipulative therapy(OMT) which she successfully completed in 2019.
In her free time, Xanthé values quality time with family and friends and keeps active by practicing yoga, playing squash, running and attempting to learn how to play golf.
